We are putting out a call to all of our fellow beaders and friends. We have started a March of Dimes team this year and we want YOU to be a part of it!!!
In past experience beaders and crafters in general have very giving spirits. Here at Obsessions we have worked hard to create a very family and community like atmosphere within the shop, which is why I think we will have no problems getting a great response for this.
If you would like to join our team please click here go to click here and join our team!!!! All team members can pick up a sponsorship form at the shop. You are encouraged to get your friends and family to sponsor you for our walk.
Our donation goal is $500! Can We Do It??? YES WE CAN!!!
There will also be several ways to join in the fun at the shop.....
1. "Design For Babies" Design Contest
Participants can enter one piece in each category. The design categories will be: Stitching, Wire, Stringing and Mixed Media. There will be a $10 entry fee per piece entered. 100% of your entry fee will go to March of Dimes. All entries should be turned in by April 1st. There will be a one week voting period where all patrons are allowed to vote once in each category for their favorite piece. There will be one winner per category and the winner will receive a gift basket as well as have their picture displayed in the shop.
2. "Bid for Babies" Silent Auction
We will be hosting a silent auction in the shop during the last week in April. We desperatly need donations to be auctioned off. Anyone willing to donate a piece for the auction should have there contribution dropped of at Obsessions no later than April 15th. Come on ladies, get to beading for the babies.
3. Monetary Donations
If you are unable to contribute to either the auction or the design contest, monetary donations are always accepted! You can make your donation in person or you can go online to the above page and make it through our team website.
Everyone who joins our team will be able to join us at the county wide "March for Babies" on April 25th at 9:30 am at the Isothermal Community College.
